Children and Youth are our future, and First Nations between the ages of 15 – 30 are the fastest growing population in Canada. It’s no wonder that HCoM has its own dedicated subcommittee to programs for First Nations children and youth.
The Children and Youth subcommittee has the following programs under their purview:
- Healthy Child Development – Policy Development & Program Oversight
- Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP)
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
- Maternal Child Health (MCH)
- Aboriginal Head Start on Reserve (AHSOR)
- Children’s Oral Health Initiative (COHI)
- Community Dental Therapy
