Continuing Care Strategy
The Continuing Care Strategy is an Alberta Government initiative that incorporates a number of strategies to address prevention and long-term care for residents across the province.
The Prevention Programs sub-committee is working to promote these strategies in our own communities. Within our Home & Community Care community program, there are 68 RN’s, 37 LPN’s and 94 HCA’s. On March 31, 2011, the new renewal of authority will enable the INAC adult in home care program to come into Health Canada’s Home Care Program. Through the AoTC and Co-Management, a Working Group was established to complete a Continuing Care Strategy for Alberta
For more information on the Alberta Governments Continuing Care Strategy, please read the report published in February 2008, which outlines the strategy in full detail.
