Access to Care

Many First Nations living on reserves in Alberta face obstacles when it comes to getting adequate access to healthcare. Many obstacles have to do with the remote locations of reserves and the logistics of providing care, however other obstacles stem from jurisdictional issues and how governments work together.

We’re encouraging and training members from our communities to become health directors

Working on standardized discharge planning when patients return home

Continuing care

Giving more residents the ability to be cared for right in their own communities.
